1.1 Introduction JeeWiz is a transformation engine from NT/e that allows a rich application to be generated from a high-level model. If you want to generate a J2EE application, you don't need to worry about what database, application server or version of J2EE you are modeling for: All these physical aspects are generated. These "How To" pages are aimed at the business modeler, and modelers are expected to have a reasonable understanding of what it is they want to achieve and the process of modeling in general. A basic knowledge of UML class diagrams or entity-realtionship diagrams would be useful. Some slight familiarity with RSA is assumed. Although it is possible to generate applications "out of the box", it is assumed that other professionals will be on hand to help with allied technical areas: applications programming, database design, technical architectural design and a certain amount of screen design. If the modeler possesses some or all of these skills and needs help, he/she should look in the appropriate guides. Manuals available include:
There is no specific guide distributed with JeeWiz to advise on database design and it would be best to consult the documentation that came with the database.
