1.1 Preface

This manual describes all aspects of JeeWiz that are relevant to architects and infrastructure developers. It describes meta-modeling, rendering, how to build some of the JeeWiz components, and documentation of the documentation package.

It is intended for architects and infrastructure developers who will create architectures and automatic build/deployment environments.

It is one of the set of manuals for describing JeeWiz. The other manuals are:

  • The Overview.
This gives a brief introduction to JeeWiz, the roles of the various users and links to their manuals.
It also contains a glossary of the terms that are used in the detailed manuals.
  • The Modeler's Guide.
This is required reading for business analysts. It tells them how to specify an application, and lists the relevant profiles. Programmers will also reference it to get background information on the models they are implementing.
  • The Application Programmer's Guide.
This explains for application programmers what his environment is. It is required reading for programmers only.

These other manuals are not currently available for the Community Edition open source release of JeeWiz.
